| The visual impact of the trap can be minimized by reducing the density of the trap to match the original density. StudioRIP allows the user to adjust the trap color reduction with a continuous setting, from no reduction to complete reduction (i.e. matching the original density).
The left picture shows a traditional trap; the middle picture shows a full color reduction (the density of the trap – a lighter green – matches the density of the cyan), therefore from distance the trap becomes invisible; the third picture shows a misregistration with trap color reduction.
