An extremely strong feature of StudioRIP is that it has a built-in proofing system, which is able to make accurate proofs of the final print on an inkjet printer.
There are three proofing systems available in StudioRIP:
· Raster (dot for dot) proofing: ease of use, guaranteed data integrity, imposition and halftone simulation, but slightly less colour accuracy and more complicated profiling. Details...
· Halftone proofing: excellent colour accuracy, good halftone simulation with dot sharpness optimization. Details...
· Contone proofing: excellent colour accuracy, easy profiling, but slightly more complicated to use, halftones cannot be simulated, not guaranteed data integrity. Details...
Advantages of StudioRIP proofing:
· Built in: acting from within StudioRIP (rather than being an external application) it is able to proof jobs in various stages (processed, printed or archived) and views (composite or imposition) with one click.
· Affordable: Unlike many other RIPs, StudioRIP is able to drive, at perfect quality, cheap A3+ printers such as the Epson Stylus Photo R1800/2400 series, thus the total cost of the proofing system (printer + proofing option) can be kept under 1000€.
